Title: ASA misconduct procedures.
Post by: Tank on November 28, 2008, 09:12:54 AM

Non ASA members
ASA has no obligation to players who do not seek or pay for membership. If a non ASA member behaves in such a manner to warrant any misconduct procedures then the ASA committee reserves the right to exclude that player from future ASA games and events after even a first offense. Should the offense be considered minor then as many warnings or punishments may be given at the committee's discretion before banning from games and events may occur.

ASA members
Misconduct can occur at both ASA events and events not affiliated with ASA. ASA considers misconduct to be:
An act that is intentional, deliberate, reckless, or in deliberate indifference to ASA's standards and the laws of New Zealand.

Procedures for dealing with misconduct

The four levels of misconduct:
A) Gross misconduct (i.e. physical violence against another player; taking or under the influence of alcohol / drugs; in possession of a real firearm at a game)
B) Serious misconduct (i.e. threat of violence, racial abuse etc)
C) Misconduct (i.e. threatening / abusive posts or PM on the forums, verbal abuse on the field; consistently cheating etc)
D) Minor infraction (i.e. not calling hits etc)[/list]
