Well, seeing as I didnt get to rush over and pick out my first set I suppose I can get afew suggestions for this setup.

The only really iffy bit im about is the vest, I like this one but a full vest could also be good but all I need is slots for ammo and anything I would need as backup.

Pistol etc will come later and would def get something for water etc.

Would be very much appreciated for any tips/info

(ps wont be only going to kiwi disp, just more for visuals :P)

Looks fine, you'll want a boonie also. Are you getting from over seas?

Come summer you are gonna want hydration.. big time.

First up for the vest think of what type of gun you might like to own in the future. Different guns have different mags. Different mags are different sizes. For example if you go for an AK you will not fit them in m4 mag pouches.

Once you have decided that decided if you would rather a vest type or a webbing belt. Vests can get very hot and personally i dislike getting mags from on my body i prefer to use a webbing belt and Y harness when my mags fit in it.

Lastly unless you have lots of money and want matching camo and webbing think about how much you want to spend. The camo is often the cheap part and the webbing expensive. If you think you might get two different camos it may well be prudent to get webbing in OD as it will go with most camo types, so you dont have to get new webbing every time you get more camo.

all i can say is rethink the vest side of things, i was considering getting a vest but the last game at H2 i wore an assault vest (Courtesy of Madduck) and it was like wearing a stove on my chest, hot and way too bulky.

I'd go with what Chibt said, get yourself a Y harness and an assortment of packs to fit onto it

Have to agree with the above comments on the vest. Vest type can be great but the type will depend on the gun you have and the mag's it requires.

Personally I'm not the biggest fan of vest as I like to go prone and crawl alot. I find for this purpose that webbing works better as it keeps the chest free.

But by all means experiment.

I agree with the vest comments. They have become very popular and common recently because of all the conflicts currently in built up areas. If you are fighting in forrests or woodland then go with a classic webbing.

I find plate carriers to be an excellent option for built up areas and deliciously customizable. They provide excellent protection from close range shots and have large areas for attaching pouches. On my CIRAS vest I am able to fit:
2 x 3 litre hydration pouches
1x pistol holster
1x admin pouch
3 x minimi ammo pouches
3 x utility pouches
1 x radio pouch
2 x pistol mag pouches

Which I could never even get close to fitting onto webbing. With lots of Gucci kit comes great encumbrance which is not a good option in hot weather with hills to charge up.

The Kiwi webbing is a really nice setup. I will probably buy a set eventually.
