« on: August 19, 2017, 10:07:38 AM »
Airsoft Auckland is a registered Incorporated society, and as such each year we hold an Annual General meeting, or AGM.

Our Constitution outlines the process we follow for such an event, and can be found online at
http://www.societies.govt.nz/cms/banner_template/CNAME
Search for either our number 1984242, or our name, AIRSOFT AUCKLAND INCORPORATED

At the AGM a vote to elect Committee members for the following year is held, and any such votes or discussion that was on the agenda shall be held as well.

No later than 6 weeks from the event: The venue and date is decided upon, and is announced to our members. Nominations for committee roles are called for, as are topics for the agenda.

No later than 4 weeks from the event: Nominations for committee roles are closed.

No later than 2 weeks from the event: All members are notified via email, informing them of the date, time and location of the AGM. Include nominations and agenda.

For anything to be decided, a quorum must be present, which is the smaller of: Twenty five financial members; or thirty five percent of the total financial members.

Voting: Each financial member shall be entitled to voted. Voting shall be decided via majority, and will be held via secret ballot. Two scrutineers who shall not be candidates, appointed by the general meeting, shall count the votes. Proxy voting is allowed, and these scrutineers shall act as proxies for the members so voting.

The constitution, and any such other rules, may be altered at this general meeting.

Further info is available in the constitution.
